Cozy Closet update 2/16/21

Well everyone, January was a tough one – lots of not so nice anniversaries and then I lost my Dad to Covid. This week though, I am having some happy because I’m restocking my Cozy Closet at the hospital. On Christmas Eve a huge load of goodies were delivered to me from the ladies at Pierce Memorial Methodist Church in Sparta! I am talking several lawn and leaf bags full! I have been washing up and sanitizing a bunch of cozy blankets, slipper socks, and some pjs. I delivered one load last Friday and am delivering another load today. I was also able to purchase some more K-cups and individual creamers because you know I want my patients to have good coffee. The photo up top is of some adorable crocheted caps my friend Amy made – they are going too. I plan to do some inventory today because the nurses said they have handed out a lot. I plan to have some more “fundraisers” to get the supply back up. I have set up a bank account just for CancerMamma and the Cozy Closet project. So any monies donated will be put there and used to buy the patients more goodies.

But in the meantime….. if you have anything you’d like to send (stores have some good sales on pjs and the like after Christmas – (I just ordered a lot of slipper socks, men’s pajama pants and more from Old Navy) – feel free to send them on! And for sure if you can knit or crochet and want to make some caps, I’ll gladly pass those along as well. Until next time………

Lesley
