Good morning good people! Today is kind of a big day. My donor goes in for collection – please pray that things go smoothly for her, she recovers quickly, and that they are able to collect even more than what is needed for my transplant (if they do I get a booster dose in a few months). I so wish I could call or text her this morning!
Also, I go in for a quick checkup and some labwork to make sure my counts are doing what we are assuming they are – coming on up. And we really need them to be good because I told Gus I would be home this afternoon and he keeps checking to make sure that the next time I am going to the doctor for a long time isn’t until AFTER his and Murphy’s birthday Saturday. (he is also pretty quick to inform that I will not be here for Jack and Eli’s bday on the 25th) This is the first year he has really anticipated a birthday and it is so cute – he keeps saying “my birthday is coming up! I will be three years old! I am so excited!” He has made plans for us to decorate, eat outside, and all sorts of other things get added day by day 🙂 This little guy is a trooper – he is dealing with so much he doesn’t understand. I know he is having a hard time, but I am so proud of him. He is one tough little guy!

p.s. in case you wondered – I’ve been doing okay – trying to figure out the new normal with all my eating and life restrictions is interesting. I get tired really easily. We keep adjusting the plan though and it seems to get better little by little. I have gone on walks, ridden around the farm and nursery, rode the 4wheeler with my baby, given everyone haircuts, and had a rather normalish school day yesterday. Overall, it has been good. I am thankful God is giving me this respite at home with my guys 🙂
