January 5, 2015 started the process of us losing our fourth child. I was 9 weeks pregnant and we discovered I had a bad case of uterine fibroids that eventually overtook and on the 21st we lost our baby. I had a D&C followed by a myomectomy that March to remove the fibroids and preserve fertility. In October after all of that I discovered a lump on the left side. I had a history of fibrocystic breasts and after having it looked at it appeared to be that again. We chose not to biopsy and it continued to behave like fibrocystic changes throughout 2016. September of 2016 we found out I was pregnant again. Throughout the pregnancy the spot actually seemed to get smaller. Soon after Gus was born (May 2017) though it began to look suspicious to me, slightly dented in. He however was having troubles of his own with extreme reflux and a hernia which required surgery at three months old. He took priority when it came to doctor appointments. Late November/early December it began to change again, this time starting to protrude and began to look slightly pink. I decided that after the holidays I needed to have it seen about so I made an appointment with a doctor for January 3.

Oh Lesley. I want to hop on a plane and fly there to just sit with you and hear you unload all of this. So glad you made that appointment and are now facing this head on. I can only imagine all that you are feeling and trying not to think about. Praying fierce prayers for you and your family. And if you are ever feeling ALL the emotions, and wondering who to call/text/email, etc…, please reach out. I’m your girl, day or night. I love that “Great is Your Faithfulness” was playing as you walked out of that office. Yes, He is faithful. (But this is still SO much.) I am here, in any way I can be from long distance. LOVE you.
