We just are having to start laughing about all the crazy that keeps happening around here. So starting with Friday before last…Jack had finished his week of being the man and taking care of all the sick people. Marsh and I got home from my Friday bloodwork (which was great by the way – woo hoo!) and they said Jack had started throwing up. Saturday morning he was still throwing up and then Murph started throwing up again. They spent the entire day on the couch. I started having fever chills and body aches. I spent the day in the bed. Sunday we all woke up feeling pretty good so I started washing everything that could fit in the washer and we sprayed the rest of the house down with Lysol. Monday I continued my hazmat duties and everyone continued feeling better. Tuesday friends came over to play and help. The boys decided that giving the rabbits a bath was a good idea (they have done this before) however the rabbit did not and took quite the taste of Eli’s wrist. This would have been a stitches visit but being a boy mom has gotten me quite proficient in my steri-strip skills. He got to go get a Tetanus shot the next day. We were going to get Gus’s shots at the same time since he was due – BUT right before Marsh was walking out the door he projectile vomited all over my bedroom – we are talking exorcist style – like there was a garden hose in his stomach spraying it out full force. We got a break from drama on Thursday and I was able to get my payroll tax returns caught up (I will be expecting late penalty letters in the mail in my near future). Friday was a good day. Treatment went well, I was much less apprehensive and Marsh and I had a fun date afterwards. Today is Saturday. I have done much better with my hydration than I did last time and that has helped. The dog got a stick caught crosswise in the roof of her mouth which required two adults and a set of pliers to remove (not our first rodeo there either). Then two kids started throwing up again. Seriously. We will be here all week folks!!!! I’m kind of glad I am writing this all down bc I am not sure I would believe it all if it weren’t.

I love reading your post. First of all I am so glad that it seems everyone is better. You seem to have a lot of patience, which is a wonderful quality. So happy that your blood work was good. Maybe years from now you could look back on this journal and make a great family tv show. I love you and am still praying for you sweet girl! God has this! 💕

Thank you for sharing your life with us. During all our struggles it can be so comforting to know that God plans all the little details of our lives. By your trust in him you are able to sneak those little laughs in those hard times because you know he is in control. Just know our family prays for your family daily for your healing & just to guide each of you in the everyday struggles. I pray that bug leaves your family soon!

As I pray for each of you, the old hymn, “Stand By Me,” came to mind. “When the storms of life are raging, stand by me.” Truly may God stand by you in such a way that you will forever more share the ways that God was there in the midst of the storms. Love and prayers continue. Movene Futch

So happy to see your good attitude and how you can laugh at all these events! Just remember, God has you right smack dab in the middle of his hand and He loves you more than anyone ever could. You will look back on this journal in years to come and get a big, big chuckle from it! God bless you Leslie and your entire family!

I hadn’t heard about the dog before this. Oh my. Gotta keep laughing though. I’m so glad you’re doing this journal. A friend had suggested I do it, but I thought I’d remember later, ha. Prayers for everyone to be healthy, and for you to get plenty of rest. Glad you got your date night! Love you all!

Ok the dog just had to be part of the action and need of attention, it sounds like! Nice to smile and laugh about it all. Lots of heros in that house. Keep up the fight!!
