Well today I am getting ready for my third treatment. This has been a great week – I have felt good all week and done lots and lots of normal everyday things: I have fixed my own breakfast every day, I have had an appetite and food tasted good so I have been making up for last week and tanking up for the week ahead. I have read books to my kids, played in the floor with the baby, did lots of rocking the baby, changed a boatload of diapers, made fires in the wood stove, fixed a couple of meals (granted this is heating up food others have brought but still, it counts!). I have sat and chatted with friends who have come to visit, I got our business tax returns done, I have helped kids with schoolwork, I have done laundry, I have cleaned the kitchen, I’ve ignored my phone a bunch. There has been a lot of joy and satisfaction found in all these mundane activities. It’s funny the things you start to appreciate much more than you ever did before.
So now I’m getting my ducks in a row to head to Augusta – making sure I do all my pre-chemo tasks and have my bag ready. We are all sort of holding our breath hoping no one starts throwing up this time. Gus had a big spit up last night before bed and Marsh’s and my eyes sort of bugged out thinking “oh noooo!!!” but babies spit up, right? I am telling myself that’s all it was. Please pray with us that no one gets sick this week. The boys have their first baseball game Tuesday and I am hopeful that I can feel good enough to go. We really want to see what a “normal” post-chemo week is supposed to look like this time!!!

I’m exhausted just reading what you did! Praying Gus was just experiencing normal baby spit up and nothing else. Safe trip and prayers for you and your family. We will be missing you Sunday lunch.

Continued prayers for you and your family to stay healthy this week and next. Have a good day and enjoy all the little things of life as they do bring us much joy if we pay attention to them! One day at a time, you got this!!
